Sonesta Silicon Valley

The good, the meh, and the bad. 
We reserved a day room, giving us access to the pool, gym, and a room for the day. Let's dive in!
Good: friendly staff, clean room and gym, very cold gym (which I like), and well-attended, large pool. 
Meh: the gym is very small, no frills- just a dumbbell rack, benches, and cardio machines. We had a small mixup at check in and I was asked to pay for the reservation, even though I had already paid through the app - thankfully I caught it and it was quickly fixed. 
The Bad: the pool was oddly cloudy when we got there, despite it being early on the day and mostly empty. Once we got settle we noticed a sign saying the pool water was recirculated. Once in the water, we noticed the pool was dirty. Lots of floating debris, hair, and dirt. The hot tub was not hot and reminded us a little too much of a bath. 
Not a bad experience, but the pool could have been better. 

Some good, some not-so-good

Great poolside hideaway for the day. Friendly staff. Clean pool area. Comfortable atmosphere.
