The Phoenician itself is picturesque, but the pool and amenities are dated. The staff, drinks and food were all wonderful, but I expected more out of this hotel based on the cost and its reputation. The pool chair cushions were extremely stained and covered in bird poop. By the waterslide exit, there were three large holes in the concrete that are very dangerous. Around the pool exterior is a lot of rusted finishing. The splash pad is a nice, my kids weren't too into it, definitely for a younger 1-3 age, but there were plenty of kids into it. The waterslide was very fun!

Nice but not for the price- not well maintained

Enjoyed the day. Nice staff. Few bad things though were getting charged 20% for using resort pass so was extra $20 which shouldn't have charged since one of the big pools in front of me I couldn't even use because it WAS closed shortly after I got there. Overall great views. Great pools. Great that I had a reserved seat with my name on it.  I won't be back though due to being charged EXTRA and not being able to use ALL POOLS..and the fact it was SO EXPENSIVE. $100 is just the base price. Add taxes..platform fees..20% extra by resort just from using pass is ridiculous. Good thing I could self park for free because gate was broken..don't get me started on tight parking spaces and scary underground parking with NO SECURITY

Great resort

Husband and I came for the day to get some quiet time. We paid for a daybed that was near the main pool and the kids splash area bc that was what was left and we didn't want to spring for a cabana. When we arrived, we asked if there was a daybed available at the adult pool and they moved us without hesitation. Our server (I forget her name) was incredibly attentive.

Great Daypass 

The daybed was roomy and comfortable- plenty of room of two people. Staff was helpful and attentive. Food was fantastic and fulfilling- recommend the lamb kabobs. Only reason it wasnt five stars- tons of children at the pool where our daybed was located. They cleared out only after one of them pooped in the pool and it had to be closed down.

It took 2 hours to get acknowledged for pool side food and drink service.  We paid $125 a person and then an extra 20% service charge fee from the hotel.  It was not worth it.
