British Colonial Hotel Nassau

My family had a great time at this beach on our port day! Easy check in with a clean non-crowded beach. Chicken tenders and tots were good, but pass on the fish tacos. Drinks were strong. Kayaks are free to use. Easy walk from the port. Would def go back if ever in Nassau again. 

Great Beach

The resort is a 10-minute, easily navigable walk from the cruise port. We promptly checked in at the gift shop at 9 am and were directed to the pool/beach area. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas available throughout the day and bathrooms/facilities were clean. The staff was friendly and pool/towel service was great. 

We looked up the bar/grill menu before arriving so we knew what to expect. Paid roughly $40 USD for lunch for two. Drinks were around $15 USD/drink.

Our only minor complaint was that the pool water was too cold to swim.

We would definitely return during future cruises.

Great Cruise Excursion

Easy walk from cruise port. Very clean and well kept ground's pool and beach area. Drinks and food way over priced.

Nice and very clean

We had a very relaxing day. No issues with check in. Plenty of chairs available both on the beach and by the pool. 
The pool was not heated and too cold to go in. 

Relaxing Day

We love visiting the Hotel when we are on vacation- we stay away from downtown but spend time at the British Colonial for pool and beach time. Staff is awesome and food/drinks are great. 

Best pool and beach getaway

The hotel I had a day pass (with day room) was a very bad experience. It took them an hour to find the reservation and with limited time on the island that was unacceptable. They were very unorganized and unapologetic. They stated that someone forget to transfer it into a hotel reservation.

Also they stated I would have room charge abilities and when I tried to pay that way outside, they stated that it wasnt working. I had to go back to the room and get card. Far from the experience I was expecting.


Disappointing 

The resort is located very close proximity to the location where you exit the cruise ship.  Was cleaning the beach is nice. You can walk to restaurants within minutes from the location.

Very convenient

Docked at 7am, resort open for day pass at 9am.  The only person to check you in is gift shop which opens at 10am.  Front desk told us to wait outside and couldnt check us in.  Waited 30 minutes and finally they called to get the gift shop opened and literally just gave me a wrist band.  The Pool is not heated and was not swimable at all.. very dissatisfied since this was the main reason we picked this hotel.  The food was great and pool service was excellent.   The chairs not as comfortable.  Great towel service and clean and beautiful hotel.  With 7am docking they should open earlier for resort passes and have a heated pool.  

Half and Half

We purchased day passes for the beach and pool as an alternative  to a ship excursion or public beach.  We were warmly welcomed in the gift shop and felt safe on the walk from the ship.  The hotel is magnificent and has an interesting history which is documented in photographs and narratives inside leading to the pool.  While at the beach, two manatees swam up and entertained everyone.  Our ship was across from us along with a lovely lighthouse.  We enjoyed the water, the presence of security, the water, and pristine beach, pool, and hotel!  This is a gem and felt that the day pass was well worth the cost!

The pool was not heated & they didn't have margaritas!!!
