The Westin Dallas Southlake

Price was right. Hotel is new, but atmosphere was just "ok". Very small pool. No pool service (at least on Sunday when we went). No music for the first hour. 

Quiet small pool

Pool opens at 7am; we arrived at 930. Pool service doesnt start until 11am so good to know if you purchase the add on package for drinks like we did. Got crowded around 12ish but overall a great experience 

Great ambiance 

Paid for the pool party day pass. There was no party. No live music, no games, no food/drink specials as advertised. There were no waitstaff taking care of the pool patrons. You had to walk inside yourself. The bartender did not know how to make a rum punch or mai tai - worst drink we have ever had! The pool was dirty, trash floating in it. Was not what we expected.

Brilliant hotel clean and staff are very helpful.

Another great experience at this location for a Saturday pool day. Definitely recommend this place to everyone 

Great Location

Went on June 1st for their Summer pool party. We had a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked into the hotel. The check in staff was warm and welcoming, the bartenders were so friendly and fun. The wait staff were wonderful. Truly an amazing experience from the beginning. We will definitely be returning. 

Great experience

Well I have been to this pool before and it is great, this day though it rained all day so I couldnt use it. Unfortunately you get no credit for weather so I lost money. This is a resort pass issue not the location. 

Great pool

We arrived around 10:30 on Memorial Day and were hoping for mimosas but learned that they didn't open the bar until 2pm. Then we noticed someone else having drinks delivered from inside at 11:30, so we were not sure if the staff was on the same page or not. The pool was clean but it got super crowded and there was no staff so the water was never checked throughout the day. There was no poolside dining or drinks so you need to leave the property or go inside the hotel (which is pretty nice and not really a swimsuit type of place). We also were hoping for some music because it was a holiday and wanted it to be a bit more festive. We would likely go for a different place next time because we would like drink and food service and music as well as water check ups to be sure it is clean enough to be in. But it was priced very fairly, nice bathrooms (again- no staff so they got pretty messy as day went on) and clean pool area.  Friendly people at the pool too!

Our Day Pass

Free parking was easy to find. We were warmly greeted at the front desk, given bottles of water and wristbands and walked out to the pool area. It was busy on Memorial Day, but we still found loungers available and room in the pool. 
We took advantage of the Happy Hour specials on drinks and snacks. The Margaritas and Chicken Nachos were good!
