We booked a daybed day pass for this resort. The pool and poolside bar were amazing. There weren't any children around so it was quiet and peaceful. The ocean is close by for swimming and seeing the turtles come on shore in the evening. Wonderful experience!

Wonderful location!

Arrived from cruise ship for the day on Kauai. Wanted a beach day and knew the best beach is on Poipu so we checked out what was available on Resort Pass. I worked at a Hawaii tour operator for 10 years until 2011 and always wanted to stay here but never had the opportunity so I jumped at the opportunity to stay there even for just a day. It was heavenly, a very chill atmosphere around the pool, peaceful vibe. Most families stay at the resorts on either side: Sheraton or Marriott, which is fine by me. The staff was very attentive from allowing us to select our lounge/umbrella location, then they set up while we walked to the beach and familiarize ourselves with the resort layout. A beautiful tray was delivered to us with selections of fruits and ice bucket of Fiji waters. The complimentary Mai Tais were yummy; the bar staff very friendly and attentive. We loved our day so much that were planning a return to stay a few days. Mahalo to Resort Pass and the elegant Koa Kea Resort! 

Peaceful resort and most attentive staff

This was our first time returning to Koa Kea since 2019 and we loved it and stayed there multiple times in the past. This time was a disappointment.   They eliminated the pool service where guests could order food and drinks directly from the sunbeds or lounge chairs.  For $398 we got a sunbed with 2 bottles of water and some fruit.  And had to go get our drinks at the bar.  Not luxury. We did think the room key bracelets were great.   Also no music Hawaiian or otherwise anywhere we were on the property so it lacked that extra something.  We are sad but probably will not return.

Resort pool was very nice and relaxing. Had great view of ocean and there were not children running all over, so very peaceful for travelers without children. 

Very Relaxing & Great Service

The staff were all very friendly and the resort is excellent.   We liked the fact that it is smaller and less crowded than adjacent larger properties.  The poolside ambiance was great.  The view and beaches are phenomenal.  

We had a great day at Koa Kea resort! 

Save your money. Just rent some chairs and go to Poipu Beach park next door. This was SO not worth it.

Only good for watching surfers

Great hospitality, the daybed was comfortable and the free cocktail was delicious! The fresh fruit and bottled water came right away and we definitely enjoyed this day pass!

Great Service!

If I had to list my favorite things about our experience at this location, they would definitely be the relaxing vibe and the amazing staff. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left every person we encountered treated us like they were super excited to see us and happy we were there. It made the whole experience really memorable.

I love this hotel on Kauai, such an amazing location and the staff went above and beyond. I loved the complimentary drinks and the day bed was very nice and comfortable; since I work in hospitality myself I understand great service and first class amenities. This was amazing!
