Kimpton Sylvan Hotel

It was nice to spend the day in the sun - but it felt like we were at a low level hotel vs what the Kimpton Sylvan claims to be. There wasn't poolside service, the bar inside had limited hours and very slow when ordering a drink. The bathroom closest to the pool didn't have soap or toilet paper; there were not enough tools for everyone that was at the pool - I would saw that we will not be coming back for a pool day.

As we walk in we are greeted by amazing Chris and he shows us where the pool is. 
Lobby is beautifully decorated so we expected the same for the pool and esthetics of hotel to match but to disappointment the pool is NOTHING like the rest of the hotel nor do the pictures online represent what the pool actualy look like. 
We could have gone to a regular house pool for what we got there. 
A refund would be great for my and my friends. We were laughing at how we got tricked into thinking this was a resort like pool. 
I would even say why does resort pass even offer the daycation at this pool.  Its not fair to the hotel inside nor the amazing staff. 

Staff was great and inside lobby

The pool is very small and the lounge area is very small and not welcoming. The best part of the experience was the amazing staff, but please be sure to do your research before committing to this place. 

Wanted to love it..

The pool was small, there wasn't really much to the place. The staff was nice but thats about it.

Would have 5 out of 5 stars. The trash dumpsters was too close too pool and you could smell it. Staff was amazing!

Kimpton Sylvan Hotel Pool Day

The pool was pretty but 118.00 for 2 people to go to a small crowded pool felt a bit harsh. You are forced to use valet only parking, another 15.00 and up. A group of women dominated the space all day. I like that you could bring your own food. 

Small but pretty

This hotel is fantastic. The front desk people were wonderful and let me leave my suitcase with them. The pool is quiet but lovely and wifi good. The best part is the rooftop bar and the other outdoor bar. Next time I will dine at the Betty.

I love Kimpton

I’ve gone almost every other week this summer. It’s great.

My husband and I had a wonderful afternoon at the pool. It was the hottest day of the year and the shade trees and pool landing were perfect. We will definitely be doing this again.
