Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel

Our group spent the day at your resort, celebrating Juneteenth and connecting as women leaders. We collectively spent over $1500 on lunch, spa treatments, drinks, and pool passes. Despite this, our experience was tainted by an unfortunate encounter with a female security guard.

While we were in the pool, we were approached by the security guard who informed us that a complaint had been made about a "group of women" smoking weed in front of children. The pool was occupied by other guests, and we were not the only women present. However, we were the only group approached and scrutinized. This incident was particularly disheartening because it felt like a clear case of racial profiling, overshadowing our celebration and raising serious concerns about our safety and the respect afforded to us as guests. We left shortly afterwards and earlier than desired as a result of the encounter. 

Few true amenities

The ResortPass seemed like the perfect opportunity to explore the Grandover Hotel which I often observed in passing on the highway. The resort is beautiful and clean. Custom artwork lines the halls and adds to the ambiance and experience. The site listed 3 pools but there is only one large pool with a portion indoors and a portion outdoors. The jacuzzi was under remodel. We were fortunate to visit on a very sparse day, otherwise the pool area could get crowded quickly. Very disappointed with the small locker room. I was expecting much more with there being a spa onsite. There is no changing closet, so you either change in the open or in the one large bathroom stall. There was no poolside service. You walk into the desk to order. The desk clerk did not volunteer info about the amenities or food. You have to ask. For the price, atleast one drink should be included. Overall it was peaceful and relaxing, but I did expect a bit more grandeur from the Grandover.

A little pricey for the value

My first time here and everyone was nice. Beautiful hotel and pool area. Got there early enough to get a shady spot under the cabana. Was able to order lunch from the spa (connected to the pool) and it was delivered to my pool chair. Jacuzzi is going to be closed for awhile due to some kind of remodel. I would definitely come back. 

Had a great time

One of the only nice hotels I found offering a day pass to use the indoor/outdoor pool. It was really amazing! Beautiful pool, good food, drinks and friendly service. Probably could use more umbrellas to provide more lounges with shade or you need to get there early enough to snag one. Will definitely be back.

Great day by the pool!

This was a great experience with my girlfriend.. This Resort was so cleaned and the food was phenomenal.. I will definitely be back soon ..

Excellent Resort

Aesthetically the Grandover is perfection.  Whats lacking is good customer service and good help. Upon arriving the bell hop informed me that I should check in at the spa. Contrary to what the directions state. I headed to the spa and was informed that I need to check in at front desk. After checking in, I had to ask for my band and key card. I headed back to the spa area when I was told to check in at the pool. Why didnt anyone inform me of where I needed to check in? Finally I made it to the locker room area. I undressed only to see a man in the area heading to a storage closet. No one gave me any warning that men would be in the womens locker area. After dressing, I stopped by the pool bar to open a tab. I was told that waitresss would come around to take care of us. They cant far and few and often forgot what they were supposed to bringing. Upon closing the tab, the tried to tell me I ordered all of these items I never ordered. Settling the bill was arduous. The ambiance is be
