View was great, nice showers and amenities only downside was that the pool wasn't heated. 

Great for a day trip to block island! 

Was disappointed!  Beautiful with tons to do!

First Resort Pass Experience 

I can't say enough about what a wonderful day it was, this idea is absolutely perfect!  Thank you to the management who came up with the idea.  I had a wonderful time, not only do they provide beautiful chairs and umbrellas and a big beautiful pool, towels are provided showers, bathrooms, a pool bar, Use of paddle boards and kayaks, I used  the paddle board, swam  in the pool met some friends. What a wonderful day thank you so very much!
I come out every year,  I will definitely be back. I don't leave until Monday I may even squeeze in another day there if we don't get that storm.
It is my hope that Champlains continues this from now on. It's a great benefit for visitors to Block Island. Thank you again

Great view and plenty to do

We had a great day at the pool! We took the ferry from Newport and a 13$ taxi each way. There were plenty of chairs, towels etc. the food wasnt bad either and plenty of drink options! A great idea if you want a relaxation day. 

Great day

No towels the entire day. Pool not heated due to a leak the day before. No aquabikes as advertised. No response when I emailed resort pass. Definitely not worth the price for the situation that day. 

Not as advertised 

We booked a day here to give our family something different for the day than the beach. Kids were excited for the pool and playground and it was a very family friendly experience. Lots of kids of all ages and a laidback environment. Pool and playground are right next to each other making it easy for the kids to switch between both. Pool was far colder than expected (advertised as heated and didn't seem to be...brrr!). Nice locker rooms with showers and restrooms. Staff was friendly and welcoming.  Pool bar and poolside lunch were great! We enjoyed the paddleboards by the water, they had kayaks too. There also is a plaza with some yard games (horseshoes, connect4, cornhole), as well as an ice cream shop, cafe, and taco food truck. Cool ambiance walking along the docks to see all the boats coming and going. There were also bikes to ride and a shuttle to take you to town, but we didn't partake. Would highly recommend for folks looking for a different experience on Block! 

Fun break from the Beach on Block Island

Visited with my husband and 2 girls ages 6 & 8we enjoyed lunch poolside as well as kayaking and SUP! 

Great family day

Champlins was great! It has it all! Everything is conveniently arranged with a bar at the marina as well as poolside, an ice cream shop and taco truck on premises with fire pits and picnic tables. And excellent water sports activities - with tons of brand new SUPs and kayaks. The pool was deep but busy & crowded. But overall a very nice waterfront and area to get away from the crowds on a Saturday! 

Great water sports & activities!

I have been to champlains many times & never been disappointed until this visit the pool was filthy, murky, cloudy water that got worse as the day went on with dead bugs & hair balls floating- clearly a problem with the filter that many people complained.  Finally staff came with a skimmer but never addressed the dirty water.  It also didn't help a very dirty looking person was letting his dirty dog swim in the pool, the pool waitress had to ask him several times to get the dog out of the pool.  This was not a cheap day but when you can't even swim after paying itsvery disappointing. In the future I will need to see this pool for cleanliness before paying.
