The Westin Galleria Dallas

This was a pretty bare bones experience.  The pool was clean but there was no bar, no locker room, and some of the lounge chairs were missing their cushions.  I personally think it was overpriced for what you get.  

Sunny location 

I give the pool 3 stars mainly due to the fact that the shade covered the entire pool at 3:00pm in the middle of the afternoon, and the pool is located right outside of a large conference room so people can watch you swim. It was really awkward because when we showed up at 1, we noticed there was a large company meeting soon to start anytime. As we were leaving at around 3:30, most of the group for the company party was arriving and decided to enjoy their snacks outside - which is fine, it was just awkward for my friend and I. Although, the pool is super chilled, so chilled it will make you feel cold even in this Texas heat! 

Mediocre location

The pool was clean and there were plenty of chairs and fresh towels. It was very basic -- no steps (only a ladder), no diving board, no changing room (only a 1 person rest room) and no bar.   Be careful when you go, since in early June the sun went behind the hotel tower at 3 PM and the entire pool was in shade after 3 PM.  That works if its a scorching day, but not ideal if you want to get a tan.  Since there was no bar there was a QR code to buy things, but soda showed "unavailable" so my friend walked down to the sundry shop in the lobby and bought it herself.  This is a basic pool.  We paid $30/pp plus tax (over $35 out the door), which I think was a little steep for a basic pool.  

Pretty basic, a little over priced

Service could have been better. Valet motioned for us to park. We had to walk up to them and ask for a validation ticket. Even then they did not ask what car we were in or for the keys. We had to go back and get the keys from the running vehicle and hand them to them. The pool was pretty empty which was nice. However, the set up of the building actually blocks the sun out after 3 PM. So if you are looking to tan, you are going to have to come early. We tried utilizing their food service. I placed an order to be delivered to the pool and waited an hour. No one ever came. I asked the restaurant for a refund and they directed me to the front desk. Concierge asked bellhop what happened. His excuse was the order said for pick up. I showed her the screenshot of my online order confirmation showing that it was to be delivered to the pool. I only asked that my card not be charged. There was no guarantee on that request. She said manager would call me. Never got a call. Will not return.

Customer service was amazing and the food was even better! We were accommodated with yummy fresh fruit and unlimited refreshments!

Rarely is anyone there. It's not always put back in order, but that's not a big deal. Food is ok, but you can go inside the Galleria, if you want to bring something back to the pool area

Quiet

It was very laid back. We went late morning around 12. Great pool, several lounge chairs. It did get busy a little later there was a kids team that basically took over the pool but it was very relaxing otherwise.
