The Westin Denver Downtown

Super easy process to get in and up to the fitness center and pool. Used the Peloton and the pool, and found everything to be super clean. Was also told that the credit card machine wasn't working so everything was cash only, so I didn't order any food.

Pretty much as expected

Don't waste your time! If you're looking for a relaxing stay, this was anything but that. There were dead bugs ALL over the pool. I tried to scoop them out myself with the bug net but there were so many it was impossible. We called the front desk and let them know of the issue, they seemed so bothered we asked for them to scoop the pool. The pool was also very foggy so I'm pretty sure it just had not been cleaned in a very long time. Also no one ever came to do it. There is no shade so you'll be in the sun the entire time. The "poolside service" is $5 for each trip they make. So if you order one round of drinks, it's an extra $5 charge each round. The only redeeming part was the gym. The gym has everything you need. But do not book here for the pool. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Also you have to pay $22 for parking in their garage. 

Not worth it 

I booked a Cabana online- booking indicated a cabana had service for 4 people- tv etc 

This hotel does note have anything like that-  it was a day bed for 2 people-   We had to uncover the bed and hustle to gather lounge chairs for other areas to host our party of 4 

Disappointed and feel like I overpaid as the cabana rate was more the the day bed option when I booked 

Not the experience I signed up for 

Perfect for the Downtown Denver area.... could have used an umbrella and F&B only accepts cash for ResortPass clients. only 3 out of 5 stars.  

No Umbrellas & Cash Only 

We live the Westin brand and thought this location would be a great treat for Fathers Day. The pool area is not up to Westin standards. And there are no umbrellas and no pool attendant. Lunch menu very limited. Just not what we expected. 

No shade! 

Spent 3 hrs at the pool. A lot of bugs in the pool with no way filter them. Prohibitively expensive to order drinks or food. 

Alright pool

Everything was only okay. Photos were a bit misleading. The pool was dirty, and anyone who wanted one could have gotten a cabana as there were no pool attendants. So I paid $150 for cabana and there was a chance that they would have been taken and not sure anyone would have been able to do anything about it.

The front desk was also not in communication with the rest of staff. The man at front desk told us all food had to purchased with cash, so we took out cash in the lobby with a $4 charge as it wasn't our bank, only to find out from the gentleman who delivered the food to the pool area that we could pay with card. 

The cabana itself was nice though, although we had to set it up. Had the pool been cleaner, we might have spent more time in it. 

Misleading photos

Would not recommend.   Not up to Westin standards.   Pool was tiny, filthy, two of us wouldn't even go in pool.   Hot concrete surface, zero shade, no umbrellas.  No pool service.  Really??    Not at all a relaxing daycation.

As an ambassador Marriott member, I opted to stay at a neighboring Marriott location. Despite being willing to pay for a day pass, I was informed that all chairs and daybeds were sold out, leaving only a first-come-first-serve option for $35. Upon reaching the pool on the 4th floor (not the roof as advertised), I found only six people present. Surprisingly, the bar only accepted cash, and contrary to earlier claims, plenty of daybeds and chairs were available. Unfortunately, within minutes of arriving, a sudden windstorm forced everyone to evacuate without any refunds offered, leaving us only with apologies.

Terrible experience

The pool was nice, great amount of chairs. Biggest downfall was the bar, drinks were overpriced and the bar didnt accept cards so we had to get cash out.
