The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota

Hotel is wonderful and service was phenomenal except at the pool. No one took our trash, had to request more than 4 times for water that was supposed to be included. Bill had lots of items we didnt purchase, and could find server to order drinks. 

Nice but service was lacking 

From start to finish the process with resort pass was the best. Replied promptly to my emails and questions.  As a repeat guest of the Ritz Carlton Sarasota for long weekend staycations to frequenting their spa and restaurant the service is always impeccable, this time was not any different. We were quickly escorted to our cabana and enjoyed the entire day by the pool with such personal care from their staff.

My son and I had a wonderful day at the Ritz pool! It is beautiful, and the service and food were excellent. They even have a game room that my son loved.

Fabulous Daycation!!

Took an hour for a waiter to come to our cabana so we could order food and drinks. All day the pool was not that busy but everyone was always looking for someone to order food. Chips and salsa took 30mins to receive. Just not what you would expect with the prices at the ritz

Bad Service 

We booked a cabana for the day and were so disappointed that the privacy curtains had broken zippers and the staff tried to use bulldog clips to close 2 sides to block the sun for our kids. The clips on one side wouldn't stay on and after about 10 attempts, I just gave up. The tv in the cabanas don't work, the refrigerator is rusty and their towel station was out of towels for several hours before anyone bothered to restock. We live in the area and have our own pool at home but had hoped to enjoy a restful day away in an upscale location but were very disappointed.

The pool area and bathrooms were not clean and certainly not what we expected from the nicest hotel in the area. We have used Resort Pass many times and wish we had gone to Art Ovation or The Hyatt Regency again because they are FAR superior for WAY less money.

Beautiful area but does need some sprucing up. Lunch at Jack Dustys was very good and gave us complimentary valet parking which saved $25

Downtown Sarasota

We had an amazing day poolside at the cabana.   Cara our server was outstanding 
Very attentive, lunch was delicious and the drinks were plentiful 
Highly recommend 

Cabana 

The outdoor pool is covered by the hotel high rise blocking the sun in the winter until about 1:30 or 2 pm. So don't plan on sunbathing until after lunch. We were not given access to the hotel gym or showers. There is a pool bathroom but no changing area. Jacuzzi jets were broken.

All shade no sun

Let me start by saying that overall, our visit was good. Vibe was exactly what we wanted, it was relaxing, clean, staff was friendly, food and drinks were good. But in the end, I would say the price wasnt worth it. 

My pregnant wife and I rented a cabana for a relaxing daycation, but none of the attending staff seemed to know or have anything really prepared. They had to ask several times for my confirmation. Good food and drinks that were a bit overpriced but hey, its the Ritz. Most of the deck is shaded until about 2 oclock because of the layout which is another bummer if youre looking to do an all day thing.

Again, the experience was fine. I just think for the price there are probably similarly as good of experiences for much less.
