The Bethesdan Hotel

Checking in for the pool was a little bit chaotic, but once we got there, it was a fun day. On this app they say the pool opens at 10, but its actually 11. There are tables with umbrellas to escape the sun. For the price Id definitely go back. 

Good value!

Nice rooftop, plenty of towels & changing rooms.  Went mid week the pool wasnt so packed.   It isnt an Olympic size pool so manage your expectations, but def a great way to beat the heat. Ill be back!

Great Way to Beat the Heat

Great location

As a frequent user of Resort Pass and purchaser of hotel day passes, I can express with 100% certainty that the Bethesdan is by far THEE WORST experience Ive ever had! The booking advertisement was completely false and as a result, a complete waste monetarily. Their ad boasts of a 15% discount on food/drinks which was one of my main appeals. However, the restaurant and bar areas were both closed until 5pm. I checked in at noon. Their ad mentions a to-go restaurant option between 12pm - 12am. I was told by the pool and front desk staff that it wouldnt open until 5pm. This literally was a waste of time. Additionally, there were signs everywhere that banned outside food and beverages. But there were no alternative options for dining on the premises. I feel like I should be fully compensated for this inconvenience and lack of amenities displayed in their ad. I ultimately ended up leaving and taking my business up the street to the Bethesda Marriott instead. 

The Worst!

Day room was clean, quiet, and the view from the room was gorgeous. The check-in process took a little longer than expected due to the influx of guests checking in and out at noon. However, once we were checked in everything else ran smoothly. 

Great Amenities 

Day room was very nice! Location was convenient. Pool had plenty of seating (lounge chairs, tables, and couches). Family friendly with lots of kids playing in the pool. Not the best option if you're looking for something a bit more relaxing and adult centered.

Great location 

Elevators are slower than slow.  No one controlling the rowdy kids running everywhere.  Water guns, throwing things (I got hit in the head ). Horrible.  

Lousy experiemce

Building is very dated and the pool had a lot of bugs in it. Checking in with the hotel concierge wasnt easy either, he hadnt even heard of resort pass and tried to charge me again.
