Great Location and Service

Good: valet parking is quick, easy in/out, check in at spa was quick, staff was very nice, was even walked to the pool area, plenty of spots to sit at Laguna Pool, lots of clean towels
Bad: seemed dirty to me, no service at pool, had to order food/drinks with use of QR code/or call on red phone to order, food was ok/very expensive, lots of screaming kids especially in the jacuzzi since I was there on a chilly day

Potential for Greatness

Relaxing spa day 

Laguna Cliffs Marriott is one of our favorite places to stay and today we got to just for enjoy the hotel with the day pass. Most beautiful ocean front scenery, good service, good atmosphere, we can wait to go back on a resort pass! 

Love this place! 

There were some cushions that the stuffing was coming out of. Someone had a retainer that was just left on a side table, so it could be cleaner.

Also, I thought I was losing my mind when I saw kids in what I thought was an adults only pool area. I thought I must have read something wrong when booking. There were kids there almost the entire day. Around 3:30 I got a headache from three children absolutely screeching at the top of their lungs and running around the pool non-stop. Their parents and the staff did nothing. So we left earlier than intended.

If you are not going to enforce that rules, do not have them. I confirmed this rule with the very kind and apologetic lady who we returned the pool key to. She told us yes, the pool is supposed to be adults only, and apologized. If we had known we were able to, we would have talked to someone (they should probably post signs on the gates).

Also, kids running around a pool sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.
