I booked a cabana over the weekend and was happy overall. The cabana came with bottled water and fresh fruit, which was a great perk for the hot Houston weather. I was a little underwhelmed with the cabana itself as it was very dark and sparse, but it did offer great shade from the sun. 
The pool is on the smaller side. It was cloudy when we were there, so made for a less than glamorous atmosphere. Kind of reminded me of a pool that you'd encounter at a motel off the highway. 
Food service was good and the attendant was very friendly. Drinks are pricey at $15 and you can only get beer or canned mixed cocktails. We ended up traveling down to the hotel bar to get drinks because we prefer vodka drinks. Those were also $15. 
Overall I would recommend grabbing a day pass over a cabana and arriving very early to snag a lounger. There were plenty available. The cabana is better if youre a family and want to escape the sun with kids.

The JW Marriott was a nice experience. We were able to order food and drink
at the pool.  Quiet area. Smaller pool but clean and nice.

Designed for all levels, you're invited to experience the multifaceted benefits of yoga, including mood elevation, mindfulness, and self-compassion. Yoga guests get complimentary fitness center access through noon on the day of their class.
