InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, an IHG Hotel

We booked two pool chairs but there weren't any available. The location also has hardly any umbrellas and therefore no shade. The pool also isn't heated as  advertised. 

Poor experience

We got a cabana at InterContinental for Father's Day, and the whole pool atmosphere was nice and chill. Great views of the city, with a good-sized pool and nice clean restrooms. Just be aware that the cabana comes with a mandatory $500 food and beverage requirement.

Chill vibes

Loved everything, great hotel. Just read the minimum spend fine print before arriving. 

Great pool and bar! 

Was told we need to spend 60$ PER person for this pool pass upon arrival. We had  booked a day pass which allows up to 2 people.  We were told to wait for the manager after the staff told us it is 120$ minimum spend for 2 people. We waited 30 minutes and the manager came to say the same thing and give us bad customer service. We probably would have spent around 100$ but were so put off by the rude customer service that we left. Make your instructions more clear and learn how to treat customers. 

Really bad customer service

It was a beautiful pool, but someone dropped a menu for us, then never came back or met our eyes when we tried to order. 

Nice pool, no service

Had a wonderful sunny afternoon at the pool.  Server was busy and hustling and did a great job.  Pool was not too crowded.  Food and drinks were very good and the pool facilities are also very good.  Overall had a great experience and would go back again. 

Mothers Day pool day

The pool was beautiful and the hot tub next to it was a bonus that everyone enjoyed. We went in late fall so it was already getting a bit chilly; the pool is heated but likely only to mid-70s, so one would need to do a some laps to get use to the water. The pass comes with a glass of champagne and water, but since summer was over, there was no service that day at the pool as they had closed the pool bar and service down for the season. There are no other food/drink options pool level. I had to go from the pool (7th floor) to the front desk (70th floor) to ask them to serve us; they did send a waiter down to the pool to bring us our champagne.  For food, order from the hotel restaurant as takeout or from a delivery app and meet driver on ground floor; but one will have to go all the way to the 70th floor to ask hotel receptionist to give elevator badge access to get to the pool again. A lot of up and down in the elevator; would be great if the pass came with a key card for the day. 

Beautiful pool but no service in the off-season

First of all, the service was on point. Upon arrival the lady offered champagne but since we dont drink so we got mocktails instead. She showed us our chairs and brought big bottle of water (of your choice still or sparkling). Pool hot tub and everything was clean. I definitely recommend this deal. Will be returning for sure

Everything is a vibe

I was staying downtown for work and flew in on a Sunday morning - location was perfect, staff was extemely friendly & food was delicious.
