Grand Case Beach Club

Staying in a small seaside hotel in Grand Case for a few days (without swimming pool) I was enthusiastic about the idea of spending a few hours on Saturday at the magnificent GCH swimming pool, . What a disappointment!
On the positive side: check-in was easy and the pool area was very clean. 
On the negative side: swimming pool with no ambiance, no parasol, no music, no service. In short, a few chairs lined up under the blazing sun with the only decorative element being a small tree with a group of hotel guests clustered under its branches for a little shade. No background music except the sound of the building's ventilation. No service if you want to drink or eat you have to go to the Sunset Cafe and pick it up yourself. After an hour I couldn't take it anymore and simply left .. disappointed.

Nice but crowded beaches and small pool

It was a nice experience to explore the hotel, beautiful views from the pool and the sunset cafe. Very nice and friendly staff. Clean and quiet. We spent the day in the hotel and had a great time.

Great location 

None of the staff other than the reception ladies knew what a resort day pass was. When we first arrived at the gate the security guard wouldn't let us in, had to park and walk in then go back and even then the security guard was nasty. We took advantage of using the snorkeling gear and floats. The ocean water comes all the way up to the rocks so you constantly are worrying if your things will get wet. We ordered lunch from the restaurant and they served us right on the beach. The food was great! Around 4pm we decided to to the rooftop pool. Our key cards wouldnt work. It was super annoying. Had to walk to reception and was told they were having issues with the locks. They had to physically walk us up but you need a key to exit too. About an hour later they sent up a new key card but that one didnt work either! We had to ask other guests to let us out. Overall didnt feel very inviting. Gave 3 stars for the food and the view. Next time, would just rent chairs for $26 and forget the pass
