Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

Great time!!!

We visited for our anniversary and right from the start the host could not verify our visit after showing them confirmations. We waited an hour for them to correct their bookings. From there theres only two pools which is divided by families and then the younger crowd. Theres no party scene. They played weird techno, nothing we could recognize. Then, it poured for 2 hours so we didnt enjoy much besides the unseasoned mediocre buffet . Lastly we checked back in 30 mins after their 6pm time frame and they charged us an additional $80!!! - also ensured to escort us of the property and wait for our Uber in the scorching heat while being extremely rude on the way out. Please! Spend your time elsewhere at a pleasant and respectful resort. Here is completely a waste of $50 Uber and nothing fun to be seen or had here.

Food was good, drinks were good, and the pool was fun and the DJ played great music.

Great Pool Parties

The only redeeming feature was the staff, who were all lovely and very eager to please. Every spot that had even partial shade near the any of the pools was already taken, unless you were prepared to spend another $100 for a gazebo (and this was out of season!). The beach was almost empty because there was so much seaweed in the water and washed up on the beach it stank. We saw one person dip in the sea whole day, as further evidence of how awful it was. The food was less than ordinary. Breakfast was barely OK, lunch at Bite next to the pool was stale and horrible, like it had been prepared and sat to dry out, then reheated just before serving.  Lastly, beware which Breathless resort you are booking at - we wanted to go to Breathless in the Hotel zone Cancun, and did not realise this resort, despite being called Breathless and Secrets Riviera Cancun is not in Cancun but in Porto Morelos, so it cost us an additional $65 each way for a taxi. 

Disappointing 

I expected so much more from this resort! You are greeted with cool towels and a nice atmosphere and then it all changes. The cups taste like soap so all of your margaritas will be nasty. Buffet food was bland. Can't comment on the dinners because you are kicked out at 6pm with the day pass.
