No official food service, small pool, no hot tub. Staff was nice and let us keep our card on file downstairs so we could call down and order food & drinks and they would bring them up - at least until their shift ended. Rooftop location and furniture was nice. Close to a lot of restaurants.

Not quite what I had hoped 

I live locally, so this was a good way to spend the day.  The pool is not huge, but big enough.  The area was clean.  My only complaint is that they do not offer poolside food and drink service on Wednesdays.  That service starts on Thursdays, so, unless you're willing to pay "room service" fees to have food and drinks delivered to you at the pool, you have to go to their restaurant at ground level every time you want food or drinks.  You can call the restaurant to place your order, but you still have to go down to pick it up.  Again, you can have it delivered, but you have to pay the service fees each and every time.  On a positive note, their happy hour menu (4 to 6 p.m.) is pretty good.  I would go back, but probably only on days they offer poolside service (Thursday-Sunday?).  

Decent Pool, Convenient Location

Brought my nieces (10 & 8 yrs). Will be back. About 20 lounge chairs and 5 cabanas. Calm and business friendly ideal location. 

Easy Breezy

The pool water was extremely cloudy (murky white) to the point that you couldn't look down and see your own feet.  Lots and lots of kids. I got hit with a ball twice  Definitely more of a family friendly hotel.

Love its location but it needs some upkeep. The pool was muggy, there is no pool attendant so you have to go to the bar to get drinks and food. Not enough day beds and umbrellas.  The planters that were before are no longer there so it looks plain with no character as the hotel itself does.

Theres a nice view of the church and its a great place to tan. If youre there to get your tan on get there early. I got there at 11:30 and there were no more lounge chairs available.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean towels and lots of beds open. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was a bonus also. 

Simple but great little pool area

Visited on a Wednesday on the first day of a SoCal heatwave. Only four people at the pool when I arrived around 1 p.m. Everyone well-behaved. Kids and parents showed up around 3 p.m. Wonderul plush blue and white towels for pool guests. Comfortable wooden, chaise lounges. What the hotel can improve upon is letting guests know the pool pass also includes access to the gym. In addition, a few guests brought shopping bags of food (Erewhon) when the hotel states no outside food allowed. And there is no food service at the pool which is strange for a resort-level hotel. You have to call from your cell phone or order in-person at the first-floor restaurant. Odd. As a journalist and former business editor of the Pasadena Star-News, I give the Westin Hotel Pool Pass a solid 5 rating even with the few critiques.

Westin Pasadena Pool Pass is First-Class

Great place to spend the day. The loungers were very comfortable, the check-in was easy. I was able to order food from the restaurant downstairs and bring it up easily, or you could pay extra for it to be delivered. The gym facility seemed nice. Bathrooms were easy to get to. The pool is on the smaller side. I went during the week and it wasn't crowded at all, so it was perfectly fine! I cant wait to go back.
