We were lucky to get the last daycation that included a room from 10am to 5pm.  We indulged in French Toast and a banana Mai Tai.  Delicious sips.  Delicious dips in the pool.  So much fun.  Extraordinary joy! 

Fabulous Father's Day Getaway! 

Surf resort pass to find a pool day pass at a highly rated LA hotel for my wifes birthday. (Btw, this text field wont accept apostrophes. Yet another fail.) The Shay was rated in the mid-9s for experiences. Resortpass writeup said it was trendy. Also, said there was 1 daybed left. So, we rushed to secure it. Arrived day-of, there was 1 day bed left, because there was only 1 daybed on site. And it had stained all over the cushions. Over reservation was 10am-5pm. We were the ONLY people at the pool. Scene was dead AF. Drinks and food were over priced. Venue is much to be desired. Basically an eye sore. Can see pipes and A/C ducting on roof when seated at any pool lounger. Exposes wires hanging everywhere. Very downscaled. Based on what we were led to believe we were buying and the price, I feel very scammed. We left within less than an hour of being there.  Very downscale. Avoid The Shay and avoid resort pass. Not coming back to either.

Great pool and atmosphere. Service was a little slow.

Great pool! Great location! Excellent food and drink. I booked a day room with access to the pool and it was the best. I was able to shower before I left for the airport and use the room to rest and spent the rest of the time on the fantastic roof top pool deck. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will go back!

Friends booked a day room and I booked a daybed. The perfect combo. 

Gorgeous Rooftop

While the pool deck was amazing and inviting.. the servers were SO aloof. We dropped $100 for the chairs at the very least the servers could have been welcoming.  We had to continually flag them down to order a cocktail   At $18 a pop.. I expected better service

One of the best rooftop pools around. The perfect balance of chill and party vibes. Excellent, friendly service. We shelled out for the day room and it was a super fun time switching between the room and the pool. What a relaxing day off!  Had the pool all to myself in the morning and lounged in my comfy daybed.  Food was excellent and Robert at the bar made one of the cocktails into a mocktail for me.  Thanks also to Jesse at the pool who was so attentive and made me feel right at home.  I will be back for sure.
