I realize this hotel hasnt been a part of Resort Pass for long, BUT you still have hotel guests to cater to. 
There is only one umbrella!!! Its attached to a chair. 
The water is a very nice temperature. Outside food and drink is not allowed. You can go downstairs and order and bring it back up to the pool. Most hotels at least have a phone and menu at the pool to order at the very least. 
They need to decorate a little more. The area is all cement. A lot of cement. There is an attempt with some palm trees but its not enough. 
Good location. But the pool area needs work to be more inviting and pleasing to the eye.

Good Location 

This hotel did not provide the services listed on ResortPass. First, the check in desk was unable to find our reservation. It took over 30 minutes to get us checked in. Upon arriving at the pool area, there was no such food and drink service as listed on the hotels site and on ResortPass. There were no towels at the pool. The bar was closed and we were advised to call room service if we wanted anything. Upon checking in with the manager on site, Gladys, she advised us that if we didnt have the services that were listed on THEIR site that we should leave. She was extremely rude.  We left within the hour and requested a refund through ResortPass as we wasted an entire day with this terrible customer service and experience. Resort pass has been unresponsive and unwilling to resolve the situation within a timely matter. I had to contact my credit card to get the charge removed and still dealing with this ridiculous situation! Beware!!

Good for family 

Older facility, but the ocean view made it worthwhile especially during sunset. The salt water pool was warm and inviting. Valet parking is super expensive so I recommend you park on the nearby street.

The location and staff were great but if you are looking for a relaxing spa type of vibe, the pool area is basically a cement parking lot with a hole and some water in it. It was clean at least! The hotel itself is very nice but I would not come back here to use the facilities alone. 

Just Okay

I recently booked a day room pass at the Sonesta Hotel in Redondo Beach for a little daycation, and overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with modern decor and a serene atmosphere. The day room I booked was clean and comfortable, perfect for unwinding for the day. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay.
I had a relaxing daycation at the Sonesta Hotel and would consider returning in the future.

This was my first stay at the Sonesta hotel and wont be my last. Clean, comfortable, with a courteous staff.

Check in was easy and its been California cold but the pool was nice and warm
