Picture this. You’re on a rooftop, relaxing by the pool, surrounded by the marina, ocean, sailboats and palm trees. You’re lounging at Shade Hotel Redondo Beach, a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the South Bay. Situated between the King Harbor Marina and the famous bicycle strand, the Shade is home to breathtaking views of the Pacific coastline. Take things up a notch with a cabana and poolside food and drink service from Sea Level. Now that’s what you call picture perfect.

Shade Hotel Redondo Beach

this was advertised as a pool and this is just a large Jacuzzi filled with children and people. The marketing image is cropped so the jacuzzi appears much larger and looks like an actual pool. they also advertise that there would be pool services for food and drink. We quickly realized this was false when it was clear there was no service or anyone working there. We left after 30 mins. What a waste of time, money, energy, and a day off work. So disappointing! Wont be using Resortpass or going to this hotel ever again.

Deceiving Marketing

We were pretty disappointed with this hotel pool.. First of all, the pool is a large hot tub with jets.. it is not a pool. The lounge chairs closest to the marina are more comfortable than the seating in the cabanas. We booked two cabanas for my birthday... No where in the description was mentioned that service at the pool ends at 3pm. The afternoon cabana starts at 2PM so you only get one hour of service and then you have to call the restaurant to order food. They really should set up the cabana along the marina side with plush seating. Interestingly, according to resortpass, we booked the last 2 of 3 available for the afternoon... I guess there are only 3 cabanas total... the place was dead by 3pm on a Sunday. It was really underwhelming and we would probably not book this again. The food however is really good. But we knew that because we are locals and frequent the restaurant. 

Do not get the afternoon cabana... no service

This is a quaint boutique hotel. Cozy pool area with good size cabanas. My bridal party had a blast kicking off our planning here. The food and bar service could be better.

We came here for a day of Fun in the sun! We enjoyed the relaxing and good vibes. Drinks were really good and the bartender was even better!

Great roof top pool. Not too crowded and great food options at the outdoor restaurant near entrance.

Great location overlooking the Marina. Service was excellent. The only issue is there was no actual pool, just a large hot tub.
