Holiday Inn Express Orange Beach

We had a terrible experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Orange Beach, AL. Upon arrival, we were issued a yellow wrist band and given a tag for our car dashboard. After sunning by the pool for a bit, we noticed a group of people who came in not wearing a yellow wristband through the side gate.  I asked the bar attendant about people who didnt have wrist bands and she told me as long as they bought drinks and food and not being disruptive, they would let them stay. I asked her how that was fair to us after we paid $73(with tax) to be there. She didnt reply. My husband proceeded to further investigate until the hotel had security come and ask the people to leave. The people refused to leave and nothing else was done. They remained there the rest of the day. I work hard to make money and didnt appreciate the unconcern and unwillingness of the staff to handle the problem. It would have been a lovely day there had this not have happened.
Next time, I wont bother paying.

Why bother?

Second time we have used HI for our resort pass day. Overall, the experience was good but the tiki/pool bar was not open and there was no where to get food or drinks for lunch

Great location 

This was a great place to spend the day. Very easy check-in, found a couple lounge chairs and umbrella, got set up and then there was vey easy and short walk to the beach. I will definitely come here again.

We had a group of 8 and got two cabanas by the pool furnished with lounge chairs and a sectional. Beach was right there with great view too. Awesome day!

The entire process was super easy, the customer service was super quick and kind to help with a date change, and checkin was super quick! 

Easy Peasy

We wanted to get away for a day. This location offers a selection of snacks and drinks and even sunscreen incase you forgot anything. It was quick and easy check in. The pool was perfect for cooling off. Our family loved everything about it!

We love coming here! The facilities are nice, the pool is amazing...you just can't beat it!

Great hotel!

Good location. Gulf was too tough with red flags flying so beach time was curtailed. Pool was clean and well maintained. All staff were cordial and courteous. Space is at a premium with limited loungers and umbrellas especially with some people reserving spots all day with personal belongings and towels but not showing up for hours. If at all.
