I was late for the class but the manager still allowed me to take the class alone. It was such a good experience. You learn alot and get to taste a wide variety of wines.

Amazing Experienc

This event took place at Bahama Barrels just a few steps up the street from the hotel. Such a unique way to spend some
time off of the ship during our visit to the Nassau port. Fun and knowledgeable people provided for a great, memorable experience in blending wine. It also provides a keepsake bottle personalized with the blend you create with your label. If you like wine, and like to test your senses in a laid back atmosphere, this is definitely worth the trip. 

Unique wine blending experience 

We enjoyed our day at the Graycliff and away from the crowds on the cruise ship.  Our welcome drink was delicious and bartender was kind to deliver to our chairs by the pool.  Lunch in the dining room was wonderful.   Loved the conch chowder as my first course.  Charming people and property.  Thank you Graycliff! 

Historical and charming

I loved the entire experience.  Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient.  She guided us through the winemaking process, which included a tasting of 5 of their wines.  Then we used these wines to create out own unique bottle of wine.  It was very much like my high school chemistry lab, complete with beakers and a giant cylinder. The difference was that you were sampling your creations, drinking out of the beakers.  I was rather intoxicated by the end of the class, but I think my wine was pretty tasty!  

Wonderful Winemakers Experience!

Cruise ported in Nassau. We usually do not get off the  ship. Saw this wine mixology class. Glad we did it!  Takes place across from Graycliff hotel (easy, safe walk from the port)  in an old church. Ravelle, gave us the history of the church, hotel, a process of wine making, starting from the grapes origin.  We tasted multi wines, discussed the tasting of each wine. Then we each made our own blends of the different wines till we found that amazing taste. Then it was bottled, corked, (which we got to do) and made our own labels. They keep your formula so our next trip back, we can stop in and request our own special wine. Great day.

Had a day waiting for the hotel and they were great.  Loved it.   

Nice stsy

We had a great expenience with the pool service. Unfortunately  the restaurant was not a good expenience we had very poor service due to fact we had a day pass. We probably would had a better expenience if we had eat pool side. 

What a fun afternoon. Although the person conducting the class wasn't very engaging and spoke so softly at times we couldn't hear him, this class was FUN! What's not to like? You sample wines and create a blend to take home. The old church you take the class in is so unique. What's really great too is that we did this on a port day - when 6 ships were in port. I'm sure other excursions were crowed - but this was so nice. Just six of us so we truly had fun meeting new friends too. It's air conditioned (so that was great). My only regret is that we didn't take time to explore more of the hotel. That's okay, we'll be back in April and plan on repeating this. It's easy to walk from the port (hot so take water for the hike). For a port I almost skipped because I'd 'been there done that' - THIS is my new favorite thing in Nassau.
