Grand Palladium Resort at Punta Cana - All Inclusive

I went for my birthday and the vibes were good, everyone was nice including the guest. 

Lots to do 

To start, there were two lovely young men at the desk that made check in a breeze. The entire staff were helpful, polite and welcoming. The resort is beautiful and our day was fantastic. We have nothing but good things to say about our day!!! 

Everything was wonderful!  

Perfect day with my family!  Lots of fun, activities and all the workers at this hotel were so polite and welcoming!  We loved it!

We had a great day. Was very hard to find chairs. Wish we could have found 24 hour buffet.

Beautiful, enormous, and fancy resort! After a challenging checkin process at the front desk (purchased through ResortPass, did not receive a code, front desk had to look into it & confirm), spent a dreamy day at the resort. 

Unlimited pina coladas in a beach lounge chair with a book, unlimited mojitos by the adults pool, and a stellar seafood buffet with lots of desserts and countless other food options. Staff were lovely, generous, and supportive. Other patrons are classic wealthy resort patrons, so manage expectations accordingly. 

- Be sure to get the name correct, since there are multiple resorts and enormous properties. This is vital if you are not fluent in Spanish and coming directly from the airport. 
- You can change after check-in and bellboys will stash your bags. 
- Bars will also provide clean drinking water, a big plus in the DR (cannot drink DR tap water!). 
- Arrive early/on time since chairs are usually taken and saved quickly, despite signs forbidding it. 

Dreamy Day at Fancy DR Resort

The first issue was that we were told to take a picture id, did not say it has to be passport, they would not accept US drivers license - had to waste 30-45 minutes to go back to the Air BNB to get our passports.  Only one buffet restaurant is open to day passes, was the largest buffet with nice selections.  Swim up bar was super nice.  Enjoyed the day was just a rough start.

I had an okay time at this resort once we got checked in. We stayed for the day because of it being on bavaro beach. We left kind of late, so we were looking forward to a smooth check in process, but we were at the front desk for 40 minutes because #1, not everyone brought their passport (we should have known better), and #2, we paid in full on ResortPass the night before, when the front desk staff is accustomed to day passes being paid for at the front desk. Before it was sorted out, the agent helping us made it seem like it was our fault or that we were trying to pull a fast one on them. It did not make us feel welcome for the few hours in the day we had left. Once her manager came by and approved, her demeanor changed, which made all of it feel somewhat disingenuous. The resort itself is large and they provide access to three hotels and the respective pools and restaurants.
